When is an event porta potty delivered and picked up?
An event porta potty arrives the business day before your event and is picked up the next business day after. A Saturday party gets a Thursday or Friday drop and a Monday pickup. You pay one event price for all of those days, not a daily rate.
Early delivery is on purpose. Drivers cannot promise an exact hour, and nobody wants a truck backing across the lawn during a party. The unit sits clean and locked until you need it.
What comes inside an event unit?
An event porta potty comes cleaned, sanitized, deodorized and stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. It has a seat, a urinal, a vent and a locking door. Standard event units have no light, so add a battery puck light for evening parties.

How many porta potties does a party need?
A party of up to 50 guests for 4 hours needs 1 standard porta potty. A party of 100 needs 2. Add 1 unit if the party runs past 4 hours, and 1 more if alcohol is served. Many hosts rent 3 units at 100 guests so lines stay short.

Which Richmond events book up first?
EKU home football weekends, graduation weekends in May and December, and summer festival dates book up first in Richmond. Book 2 to 3 weeks ahead for those dates. Accessible units and flushing units are limited, so book them at the same time as standard units.

Do public events need an accessible unit?
Public events should include at least 1 wheelchair-accessible unit. The 2010 ADA Standards, section 213.2, say at least 5% of portable toilets in each cluster must be accessible. Private backyard parties have no such rule, but hosts often add one for older guests.

Can I rent a porta potty for just a few hours?
Event units rent as one flat event period. A 3-hour shower and a full weekend cost the same. Same-day drop and same-day pickup ties up a driver, so it costs more and is not always offered.
Can you pick it up Saturday night right after the party?
Standard pickup is the next business day. Weekend pickup can be arranged for an added driver charge when parks require same-weekend removal.
Can I lock the unit until the party starts?
Units have a door latch that takes a padlock or zip tie. Ask for a combination lock if the unit sits in a public park. Remove your lock before pickup day.
Can I add another unit if more people RSVP?
Extra units can be added up to a few days out when inventory allows. Booking early holds the units you need on busy weekends.
Do you deliver to a park or campground?
Park and campground delivery works when the truck can reach a level spot. Get the park's permission first. Richmond park shelters are reserved through City Parks at 859-623-8753.
